Peter Maglione, Chief Executive Officer

Peter became CEO of Academic Analytics in 2008. He has led the company from its earliest stages to its current industry leadership in providing academic data, solutions and insights to research universities. Peter has guided Academic Analytics in developing strong partnerships with senior academic administrators, supporting strategic decisions to advance higher education. Previously, Peter was a senior consultant to Fortune 5OO companies and implemented data-driven strategies for major financial institutions, hedge funds, banks and mutual funds. Peter earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University.

Mike Rohlinger, M.Sc., Chief Information Officer

Mike has been with Academic Analytics since 2008. He has enjoyed developing and expanding quality content in the faculty database. Mike manages the systems and infrastructure to allow data to drive intelligent academic solutions. Prior to Academic Analytics, Mike has 20 years of technology experience in both the financial research and banking industries. Formerly, Mike was an officer at Fiserv Inc., a Fortune 500 banking services provider, as manager of technical applications development. Mike holds a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics & Computing from the University of Limerick, Republic of Ireland, and was lead software engineer at Thomson Financial in Washington, DC and Shannon, Ireland.

Dan Janick, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Dan joined Academic Analytics in 2011 and interacts across the organization, coordinating the management team’s execution of growth initiatives and leading strategic projects. Dan has over 25 years of professional experience, including serving as CEO of a private equity-owned industrial business, a principal with Hunt Private Equity Group and an investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston, Dean Witter Reynolds and a boutique firm he helped launch. Dan earned his BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and lives in Fort Mill, SC.

Matt Horvath, Chief Production Officer

Matt manages the allocation of faculty and their attributes to institutions and data quality processes related to scholarly activity. Matt has worked with Academic Analytics since 2006. Prior to joining the company he received a B.A. in Communication from Cleveland State University. He has three years of experience in a policy verification unit at Progressive Insurance.

Tricia Stapleton, M.S., Chief Communications Officer

Tricia has been with Academic Analytics since 2010 developing internal and external messaging. She has also helped to build a user community to share best practices for using the data with workshops and participation at academic conferences. Tricia came to Academic Analytics with over fifteen years in marketing and communications in the financial industry, most recently as VP at several large international financial institutions. She holds a M.S. in Communications Design from Pratt Institute and a B.S. in Communications Arts/Business from St. John’s University.

Dave Ramsey, M.S., Director of Product and Analytics

Dave joined Academic Analytics in 2012 as an analyst and quickly demonstrated skill and understanding to provide analytical solutions to universities. In his role Dave leads the analyst and product teams to provide customized solutions to challenges university administrators face on a daily basis. Dave was formerly a Research Analyst in the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness at Virginia Polytechnic and State University. Dave has a background in Human Factors Engineering and has been working with higher education analytics and usability of tools/systems to measure productivity for over 10 years.

Matt Moericke, Chief Technology Officer

Matt joined Academic Analytics in 2008 and is primarily focused on the technical design and development of internal and externally facing applications. The business objective of the technology group is to present the Academic Analytics data in the most intelligent and easy to use manner as well as assisting in data curation. Prior to joining the company he worked for fortune 500 companies in the financial industry including US Bancorp, and Fiserv Inc. Matt served in roles such as: developer, team leader, and technical architect. Matt’s areas of expertise include: enterprise class software solutions, service oriented architecture and open source technologies.

Naomi Foreman, Director of Client Development

Naomi joined Academic Analytics in 2013 and has 30 years of client service and sales management experience, working for American and Italian corporations. She’s traveled extensively with the sole purpose of aiding in growth and profit of client-structured teams that worked with management at several international stores and manufacturers. She works with the Solutions team in aiding our clients’ growth and use of the data, especially through face-to-face campus visits. She holds a B.A. in Business Management from Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.

Alan Kelly, Content Technology Manager

Based in the Republic of Ireland, Alan joined Academic Analytics in July 2012 from Thomson Reuters. His main focus is on populating content into the Academic Analytics warehouse, exploring new content and coordinating the design and building of the UK Database. Alan has 24 years of technology experience in the financial research industry. Formerly, Alan was IT manager for Worldscope and a Technology manager for Thomson Reuters. During his career Alan has helped build numerous database platforms/data collection systems. Alan holds a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Limerick, and is close to completing a Masters degree. He currently spends his time in the UK and Ireland.
