In this session, we will discuss the increased focus by funders, trustees, ACE/Carnegie, and accrediting bodies on the social impacts of research and other scholarly activity.  How are impacts defined?  Are there categories?  Priorities?  Will there be measurable and agreed-upon standards?  What data will be needed for reporting, and how will we gather it?  These questions and their answers are still emerging and depend largely on university input.
